What Makes Your Muscles Grow?

This Ted Ed is a great, easy to understand explanation of how our muscles grow. By grow, understand they are not necessarily talking about bodybuilding. Anytime you do hard work you are in essence damaging the muscles. You get stronger and the muscles get bigger when that damage is repaired. This is why rest days are so important. You can’t just train, train, train and expect to get stronger and fitter overall. In the long run you will likely end up injured and under-recovered.
