We’re Gonna Live Forever

Okay, maybe not forever, but if the results from this recent study are true, then the owners of Kitsap CrossFit have a significantly lower risk of dying than most. The study, performed at the Harvard School of Public Health found that as your consumption of coffee goes up, your risk of dying from heart disease, stroke, diabetes, neurological diseases and suicide goes down. Five cups of coffee per day reduces your risk by up to 12%. Even more surprising, it didn’t matter if you drank regular coffee or decaf.

Now, full disclosure, this is not a cause-and-effect relationship. So, there is no guarantee, but hey, truth be told, I’m not drinking as much coffee as I do because of the long term effects, it’s mostly to keep my eyes open and a smile on my face. If I live longer as a result, that’s just a bonus.
