Every year nearly 2 million school aged athletes sustain sports related injuries. Kids between the ages of 5 to 14 account for nearly 40% of all sports injuries. Many of these injuries are non-contact related or due to overuse. These types of injuries can be prevented.
Kitsap CrossFit is proud to present the Bulletproof Athlete Injury Prevention Camps. These week-long camps will provide young athletes with the information and skill set necessary to become more resilient to athletic injuries.
Each camp is 5 days in length and daily session will last 90 minutes. Day one of each camp will kick off with a basic lesson in human anatomy, biomechanics, injury pathomechanics and the principles of injury prevention. Parents and coaches are invited to attend the first class of each camp. Then each session will include:
- Guided warm-up
- Prehab exercises
- Strength session
- Conditioning workout
June 23-27 – Knee Injury Prevention
July 7-11 – Shoulder Injury Prevention
Aug 4-8 – Back Injury Prevention
