Max rounds in 2 minutes of the Bear Complex (95#/65#)
In this workout you will have 2 minutes to complete as many rounds of the Bear Complex (Deadlift, hang power clean, front squat, push press, back squat, push press) as possible. The deadlift, hang power clean and front squat must be distinct movements. The front squat and push press can be combined into a thruster and the back squat and push press can also be combined into a thruster. Each complete cycle of the complex is 6 reps, so at the end of 2 minutes record the number of completed rounds + additional reps.
Rest 10 minutes and repeat for a total of 3 two-minute intervals. Post number of rounds and reps for each interval to comments.
Hell In A Handbasket
I’m not one to post political things on our business website but we have got some serious problems in our country. The era of political correctness and safety (sorry, Kat) have gotten WAY out of hand. You could argue that one of the big reasons that our youth are getting fatter and fatter is because we are too scared to let them do anything … and if they even think of going outside they better have a helmet, knee pads and a mouth guard.
How bad has it gotten? The USPS just recently announced that it is yanking a line of postage stamps that were designed for Michelle Obama’s “Lets Move” campaign. (see stamps below) Why were the stamps pulled? Because the images showed kids doing dangerous things like a cannonball into a pool, and handstand without a helmet (no, I didn’t make that up) and skateboarding without knee pads. This is what we have come to folks, a bunch of Chicken Littles who have forgotten what it’s like to be a kid.
I know there are some other major political issues going on right now, but this issue is the one that gets me fired up to write to me congressman. Is that wrong?
