What the hell is a stone anyway?
It’s a unit of measure used in Great Britain and is represented by 14 lbs. Now, quick, do the math. What is 6.5 stone? That’s right, it’s 91 lbs. Gary Kirk or Edinburgh, Scotland weighed 266 lbs. (19 Stone) just 6 months before he started CrossFit. He also suffered from symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. So, how did he drop 91 lbs. in 6 months? CrossFit and a strict adherence to the Paleo Diet.
I’m sure many of you have friends who have expressed interest in CrossFit but have said, “I’m not in good enough shape to do that.” Here’s a guy who had multiple excuses to not try it.
