Some Folks You Might Know Who Are Drinking The Kool-Aid

Last Sunday a new Miss America was crowned, New Yorker Mallory Hagan. I remember way back when, the Miss America Pageant was sort of a big deal. Now days it comes and goes and I am none the wiser. There is a reason to take a bit of notice this year, however. Turns out that Miss Hagan is a CrossFitter just like you and I. Here’s a quote from her boyfriend:

“She did not want to be rail-thin,” Maynard said. “She did it the right way: She did a lot of CrossFit, and she just ate a lot better.”

Turns out, she is not the only celebrity who has turned to our brand of fitness. The Huffington Post just posted an article that shows several A-list Hollywood types who are drinking the Kool-Aid. Now, this doesn’t necessarily lend any special credence to what we all know to be a fantastic fitness program, but it is interesting. It’s easy to look at these folks and think that they live on a higher plane that us “regular folk”. Now we can go watch Crank and look at Jason Statham and know that you have something in common…leaving sweat angels on the floor after a fight with “Fran”.

(Be sure to watch the video and have a good laugh as they really didn’t show any CrossFittin’ going on)

  • Haha, nice!
