Passing on the Apple Pie
Another 4th of July has come and gone, can you believe how quickly this year is passing by? Like many Americans I spent the afternoon stuffing myself with some yummy BBQ food, although a lot of ours was Korean style, yum. The banquet included that all american dessert, pie. I don’t think you would find too many people who would argue against the statement that “Pie isn’t a very healthy dessert choice”, but the reasons might differ from ours. Aside from the outrageous amount of sugar added to most pie fillings, it’s actually the grains used in the pie crust that freak us out. We have posted on the negative effects of consuming grains previously. Mark Sisson of Mark’s Daily Apple recently provided some great advice on How to Quit Grains. Many argue that they can’t do it, but they have never really tried. Seriously, try it for a couple of weeks, you’ll feel better, perform better and look better.

Stumbled Upon
This was a great WOD indeed! Following on the heels of last night’s front squats made it even more painful, but is was so nice to do this one outside on a beautiful summer day:)
