Kids & Weight Lifting
I’m sure we’ve all heard various opinions on kids and weight lifting. Those of us at the CrossFit Kids Certification this weekend have been given some ammunition to argue against the naysayers. Here’s a short post on the subject which I think significantly adds to the confusion. So let me get this straight, it’s okay for kids to engage in “strength training” which increases muscle strength over a short time, but they shouldn’t do “weight lifting”? Are you as confused as I am?
As we get further into the CF Kids program we will share more details about why it is important for kids to lift heavy things.
