Getting the Best Bird

Chicken is a staple of nearly all CrossFitters diets. I’m sure we have all seen pictures of dinner bound chickens being raised in absolutely horrendous conditions. Given that most grocery store chicken is mass produced, how can you be sure that the chicken you’re buying isn’t all pumped full of hormones, didn’t live in a 1 cubic foot cage or wasn’t fed ground up animal parts? Mark Sisson of Mark’s Daily Apple provides a great chicken buying guide in his recent post Choosing Chicken: A Primal Purchasing Guide.

  • This definitely turned out to be a tough one on the arms! I did jumping muscle ups and finished in 19 min and some change.Thanks to everyone for tolerating my WODs this week:)

  • This one looks too good to pass up on, looks like I’m buying a 10 visit pass so I can drop by and knock this one out tomorrow. Time to see if I can still do muscle-ups… hands are gonna need to be taped, though ;)
