CrossFit Off the Grid???

If a coach potato can generate 70 watts of power by walking across the room, just think of the power that a room of CrossFitters can create. Princeton’s Michael McAlpine and his team are trying to figure out how to convert body movements into electricity – how cool is that?! This article provides a sneak peak into the process.  The implications of this are pretty amazing.  Someday maybe our WODs can provide the power for the lights and music (oh, and heat during those chillier months).

  • Yay Emily! You rock woman! Tonight was the first time IN MY LIFE I have been able to run a mile without stopping. I know this does not sound like a big thing, but for me it is HUGE! I did the run in 10 minutes and am feeling I will actually be able to handle Eugene. Great job tonight everyone. Welcome Diver Tony.

  • My presses were ok rep wise but I found a new weakness — push and split jerks. My mile was 6:18. The highlight of the night was finally meeting Diver Tony. Welcome to KCF Tony.
