KCF wishes Ann the best of luck as she takes on an endurance double header this weekend. Today is the Fort Steilacoom 20 miler and Sunday the Mercer Island Half Marathon. Go get 'em Ann.

Stamina vs. Endurance

What’s the difference between stamina and endurance? Most people don’t know. Many think the terms are interchangable. They are not. They are related, but they are not the same thing. Endurance (cardiovascular endurance) refers to the body’s ability to gather, process and deliver oxygen. Stamina refers to the ability of the body to gather, store, deliver and utilize energy. Do you see the difference? Check out this blog post for a clear and concise explanation of the two concepts. Then answer this question: Does “Jackie” test your cardiovascular endurance or your stamina? Post your answer to the comments.

  • I think that is a trick question- Jackie tests both your ability to deliver oxygen to your body, deliver energy as needed, and I would add tests your ability to deal with a raise in your lactatic acid
