More CrossFit in the News

We saw an inspiring CF story featured on a local news program in a link from yesterday’s post. Here is another story featured in the Wall Street Journal about a Marine who found CrossFit after a devastating injury. Yet another example of how this program changes lives and makes people both physically and mentally stronger.

  • Well I just wanted to report that my cheat day was almost a total bust…the last couple of days I didn’t think I was going to make it and spent numerous hours dreaming about all the things I was going to eat on my cheat day. They included, sushi rolls with lots of rice, a ham and cheese croissant from Zella’s…onion and zucchini sourdough from the farmer’s market (crack!) and of course the one thing I’ve been dreaming about for weeks, peanut butter chocolate mousse cake. But a funny thing happened when the day finally started, none of those things sounded good. Sure I splurged a little at the market with my dried cherries and some pricey grass-fed bison jerky which I haven’t tried yet but I didn’t race across the street for the croissant. I walked right past the sourdough bread guy and found I wasn’t in the mood for sushi later. Ok, so I did have the peanut butter chocolate mousse cake, but it didn’t taste the way I remembered. I probably would have been just fine with an apple and almond butter but I didn’t want it to become an obsession.
