Ready for ANOTHER Challenge??

It’s time to do “Jackie” and put your money where your mouth is. Our first perfomance challenge is coming up Saturday, January 23rd. For those of you that haven’t memorized the CrossFit Girls yet, “Jackie” is a 1000m row, 50 thrusters and 30 pull-ups. This will be a great addition to our Paleo challenge to kick off the New Year. Here’s how this is going to work…

On Saturday, January 23rd we will hold prelims for “Jackie”. We will have a sign-up sheet to establish the heats. The first heat will GO at 8:30 am. Plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your heat to warm-up, then stick around to cheer on your friends. Official times will be recorded and compared to times posted at the “Jackie” finals to be held on Saturday March 20th.

Participation in this challenge is $20. This entry fee will go toward ***PRIZE MONEY*** as well as some paleo treats for the morning. Prizes will be handed out in 4 categories, these categories will be revealed after all preliminary times have been recorded. Please be assured EVERYONE has an opportunity to win some money here. This is not just about speed.

“Jackie” will be the WOD that day regardless if you participate or not. Even if you do not want to do the challenge, we hope you show up, do the WOD and join in cheering on your friends.

  • Scott, I wear mine almost everyday throughout my day and am really liking them. I wore regular shoes to the WOD on Saturday and it felt odd. I’m really getting used to them. Ang will be getting some on Thursday.

  • We should have put this in the original post, but in the interest of encouraging max participation in this challenge, if you aren’t available for the date of the pre-lims we can set up another time for you. Please let us know if you want to participate but aren’t available on Jan 23rd. We’ll figure out another date close to the 23rd that you can get your preliminary time.

  • I like it! The only downside I see is that we will all have CF nightmares between now and March 20th (esp Brandi!)… :)

    5 x 1K all out effort done this morning. Times were closer than expected but well outside of the 5 sec tolerance; 4:38, 4:37, 4:19, 4:29, 4:30. I’ll pay the 150 sit-up foul after church.
